  • How do you charge tuition/how do I pay?
To book into any class, you must have your credit or debit card (Visa or Mastercard) details saved on file. Direct debit is the only form of payment accepted. Fees are debited on the 15th of each month, or the next business day.
  • My child hasn't passed a level in a while, why is this?
The mechanics of gymnastics require an enormous amount of flexibility, strength and coordination. We work with big and small muscle groups and need wiring in the brain to gain skills and just like riding a bike be able to repeat them once we are working on higher level skills. At the same time as this we are working with kids who are growing socially, socially and emotionally and experiencing new changes at an astounding rate. We have designed our programs to meet all kids where they are at, but like all things progress sometimes required time. We have set up our programming and skill tracking to help with all of this with 10 years of celebrating the small and big achievements. If you’d like to know about your child’s progress, just check in with your coach before or after class or you can see it under skill tracking on your account.
  • Do we need to stay and watch?
If your child is school aged, you don’t need to stay and watch, but please make sure they are dropped off and picked up from inside the centre. We have viewing areas in all of our centres for those who’d like to watch or even get some work done in the meantime. We’d love to see you!
  • Can we try a class?
Absolutely! We would love to offer you a free trial class (where availability allows). Due to high demand if you wish to jump into a class as soon as a spot is available, we’ll enrol you straight away. We guarantee that if you enrol without a trial and don’t love your class, we will give you your money back. To book your trial, please get in touch with us at Trial class- once your trial class day falls, you will be automatically enrolled into the class. If you don't think it’s for you just now, just let us know after the class *within 24h hours.
  • How many children are in each class?
Sweet Peas: 6:1 to 8:1 GymZone: 8:1 NinjaZone: 6:1 We proudly maintain small class sizes to ensure each gymnasts gets the ultimate value out of their time in the gym.
  • Why two hour classes?
Our two-hour classes offer gymnasts the chance to explore all apparatus on a weekly basis. Increased time in the gym allows for accelerated progress and the inclusion of time that focuses on strength and flexibility to support skill learning. Gymnastics is a sport that generally requires long hours of training to achieve high level skills. With over 30 years of program development, we know that we will never require more than a two-hour class for a gymnast to achieve high level gymnastics skills like flips and saults in their time with us.
  • My child just passed a new level do they need to move classes?
At Jets, we teach more than just gymnastics. Similar to schoolour classes are designed to meet your child’s developmental and social needs. This approach ensures they remain engaged and challenged regardless of their coloured level. So, if they achieve a new level, they will stay in the same class but will be introduced to a new set of skills as they work towards their next coloured t-shirt or headband.
  • What if my child has an allergy or medical condition?
All Jets staff are First Aid and CPR trained to keep everyone safe. If your child has a severe allergy or a medical condition requiring the presence of medication during their time at Jets Gymnastics, you may request a “Gym Joey” bag from a coach. This specially designed high-visibility bag is intended for bringing necessary medication to the gym. Placed strategically, it allows our coaches to offer prompt assistance to your child if the need arises.
  • When can my child start a class?
Your child can start with us any time as long as we have a place available. Our classes are popular so if we can’t get you in just yet, we’ll add you to the waitlist and let you know as soon as a place is available. As soon as we get you started, we will adjust your fees to catch you up to the first monthly direct debit.
  • What should we wear? Do we need to bring anything?
We spend just as much time on our hands as our feet so it’s best to wear comfortable clothing that’s east to go upside down in eg.activewear with no shoes or socks. When you enrol, you’ll receive your very own free Jets gymnast t-shirt. Don’t forget to bring along a drink bottle! If you’re a current gymnast, and once you receiveyour Jets T-shirt wear it to class so we can keep you extra safe!
  • Why are my fees the same each month even if it falls on a public holiday?
We calculate our membership fees annually and then break them down into monthly payments, taking into account the varying number of weeks and holidays throughout the year. Although some months may include 3, 4 or 5 classes (depending on the calendar), your fees will always remain the same.
  • What happens if we miss a class? Do we need to let you know?
We know things get busy from time to time so if you’re unable to attend your regular class, please notify us online at least three hours before the start of your class to receive a makeup token. Makeup tokens are valid for three months (90 days) from the date of issue.
  • Looking for more advanced class options?
Our GymZone classes are designed to allow your child to achieve a high level of gymnastics like flips and saults whilst only training for two hours each week. As with anything, the more time we spend practising, the faster we progress. If your gymnast loves their time in the gym and is looking for more, enquire about our GymZone Plus classes, where they can attend two x two hour sessions weekly with the same group and coach. You don’t need to be in a Squad class to achieve a high level of skills.
  • Weather Cancellation
We are always doing our best to keep the gym cool and classes safe in the hot weather. We have air conditioning in all our locations running all day and we maximise airflow with factory doors. During class we take extra breaks, reducing the intensity of classes and modifying lesson plans, drinking lots of water and we even have spray bottles of water to keep the gymnasts cool which they also think is a bit of fun! Our hot weather guidelines are: Parent/Guardian Discretion: Attendance is at the discretion of parents/guardians up to a gym temperature of 39 degrees. Make-up tokens can be offered to those uncomfortable attending. Temperature Monitoring: One hour prior to class, the gym temperature is measured. If it reaches 40 degrees or higher and remains unchanged at the time of the class, classes will be cancelled. Notification of cancellation will be sent via text message.
