As 2011 draws to a close we say farewell to Amanda Eastwood our Programs Manager. Amanda has been with us for two & a half years now and during that time she has helped to manage the Mini Jets program and oversee most of our recreational streams. Amanda also mentored our train-ee coaches through their ongoing development.

What a fabulous weekend we had in sunny Gisborne for our 20th Annual Club Championships. A fantastic event with 270 gymnasts competing across in 4 sessions across 2 days. Thank you to everyone for your help and support across the weekend, in particular Judy & the whole Team at Jets Gisborne. Next year we will be very excited to hosts our 21st Club Championships in our New High Performance Centre at Diamond Creek.

Welcome to Leigh Hudson, Sam Smith, Emily Brennan, and Heidi Lens who have recently joined the Jets Team as trainee coaches. Also congratulations to Kirsty Ciantar, Steph Mouat, and Brittany Rising who have completed their WAG Level 1 accreditation in recent months.

Ruth Taylor has travelled down  from Northern NSW to join our Jets Team and you will see her enthusiastically coaching several different classes throughout the week. Ruth has a background not only as a gymnast herself, but as a nutritionist and a personal trainer, working overseas for a time before returning and joining our Gisborne Crew. It is exciting to watch our Gisborne Jets crew ballooning as we grow  to meet the ever increasing demand to supply fantastic classes in this wonderful venue.

Over the next few months we look forward to a very exciting competition season both for our recreational programs and our competitive programs alike. As our Squad gymnasts prepare for their State, National and Developmental competition season, our Stars, Rockets, Gymstar and Trampolining programs are keenly learning routines in preparation for our Jets in house competitions. 

Competition dates are as follows. 

Bendigo:  August 21st 
Sheparton: September 3rd 
and our Jets Club Championships: Sept 17th and 18th. 

Other Important Dates
Novermber 27th ( Sunday ) : Display Day
Further information will be forwarded to parents regarding the display at the beginning of Term 4.
