KidSkills Australia has been delivering gymnastics programs in primary schools for 15 years. In this period we have gained insight into the developmental needs of students.

Through our Professional Development workshops and resources we can assist schools and sporting clubs to increase their skills and knowledge in the area of gymnastics or movement education.

Teachers are sometimes unsure of the safety issues in teaching gymnastics and through our Professional Development Programs we can tailor workshops to meet individual needs. All of our programs use a systematic delivery process to ensure safety and skill development.

KidSkills is also the leader in developing better body management through our Safe Landings programs that develop safe landing skills and confidence to "Have A GO"! The Safe Landings Program has been very successful with schools, Auskick and also used at the elite level with the Saint Kilda Saints AFL team preventing injuries in sport.

Workshop: Basic Gymnastics Skills

This program includes development pathways for all ages, teaching gymnastics skills such as forward rolls, cartwheels and handstands plus circuit activities for the development of skills. Use of apparatus is also incorporated where applicable.

Workshop: Safe Landings 1

This workshop includes the development of four safe landing skills and drills that are fun and easy to teach. The skills and drills are delivered in meeting the needs for safety in the playground and in sport.

This program is best followed by a Kidskills Funday or 5 week program in order to see the development of the skills in action delivered by KidSkills professionals.

Workshop: Safe Landings 2

This workshop includes the development of 6 Safe Landing Skills for upper primary and secondary. These skills are a great foundation for sport and can be used as a body awareness/gymnastics unit in your Physical Education Program. Learn how to dive catch, roll and land safely in controlled and uncontrolled circumstances.

This is a great adjunct to your sports programs and an interesting way to teach participants about their body in space. This program is best followed by a GYMSkools Fun Day in order to see the skills in action delivered by KidSkills professionals.
